The team at Nala has sourced materials and decorations to help promote Caterpillar Peterlee’s Toy Appeal – and the end result looks amazing.
Caterpillar is taking part in the Sun FM Toy Appeal, alongside other local companies including Bridges Shopping Centre and Sunderland Orthodontic Centre.
The appeal will be working alongside the Sunderland Salvation Army, collecting and delivering toys to disadvantaged children across Wearside.
They will be distributing them to families, hospitals, children’s homes and anyone who is struggling this year in order to make sure every child receives a gift.
The North East is statistically one of the regions within the UK with the highest rates of child poverty, with one in four children living in poverty.
Tony Whittle, Senior Facilities Engineer at Caterpillar Peterlee, said: “This is what you guys have helped us create, which aligns with the Christmas charity events that we are doing. Many thanks to you all for helping us with this, it would have certainly been a lot tougher to achieve without your help.”
Nicola Duke, Director at Nala Engineers, added: “The Sun FM Toy Appeal is an amazing cause and we’d urge anyone who’d like to contribute to drop off brand new, unwrapped toys to one of the Caterpillar sites in Peterlee. We are delighted to have played our part in heling get Caterpillar’s appeal off the ground.”
