Here at Nala we pride ourselves on our apprentice programme and have successfully trained many apprentices over our 40 year history. With skilled trades at an all time low we believe it is our responsibility to offer training and development opportunities to the next generation.

With trades in constant demand and businesses finding themselves squeezed due to the Covid pandemic it isn’t always easy to open up spaces for inexperienced new starters.

We currently employ three electrical apprentices, all at different stages of their training, one of which is due to sit his AM2 and hopefully qualify in October.

However, we have recently started another two electrical apprentices, both of whom spent work experience with us in July whilst studying an electrical installation course at Tyne Met College.

Both young men are from South Shields and are studying to gain their electrotechnical qualification through JTL and gain relevant site experience with Nala to enable them to become qualified electricians of the future.

At interview and during their work experience both impressed us with their mature attitude and eagerness to work and learn.

Cameron Chapman and Josh Waterson have dived right in and are impressing their co-workers on site as well as the Contracts Managers.

They have recently passed their ECS health and Safety assessment, other relevant H&S training as well as IPAF and PASMA Training.

Welcome to the Nala Family Lads and keep up the hard work!
