Nala Engineers is eyeing growth into new markets 18 months after a strategic move to East Durham.
The family firm moved to Tempest Road in Seaham in September 2015 after outgrowing its former Houghton Le Spring premises.
Director Nicola Duke said: “The decision to move to Seaham was to allow for expansion – we had completely outgrown our previous offices and there was no further room for growth.
“We now have room to expand further, take on additional staff and apprentices and we are really well established here now.”
Nicola is a regular attendee at local networking events run by Seaham Business Park Group, which she sees as a key part of further establishing Nala as a key local business.
She said: “We employ over 20 staff and work nationally with some high profile clients including Matalan and Aldi, and we’re keen to grow our presence within the North East.
“Attending networking meetings like the Seaham Business Park events is really important for us and is helping the business to form some really strong working partnerships with other local firms.”
